In 2006 The Leitch Review identified the prospect of long term UK decline in global markets due to our lack of skills. A recent survey shows that few organisations have heeded the Governments warning about skills shortages and are in serious trouble in an increasingly competitive global market.
The Government’s wants businesses to focus on six key issues. Unsurprisingly one of these is Management and Leadership.
If your organisation is not using the downturn in business as the ideal time to train up managers and supervisors so that you exit the current recession ‘with your foot on the accelerator’, someone else will be and you will quite probably be left behind.
