Perplexing points made simple half-day seminar(s) - December 08

Perplexing Points made Simple was a half day seminar which we ran on the 2nd of December, that looked at the Government’s new Points Based Immigration System, its major implications for employers, and the requirements set out in recent legislation.

It is serious stuff and is compulsory if you want to employ overseas workers. It is an agreement to keep records, report as required, comply with the law and co-operate with the UK Boarder Agency (UKBA).

Under the new system the responsibility will broadly shift to employers from the UKBA to check and verify the eligibility of migrant workers. In addition the consequences of failing to comply with the new law to combat illegal employment (could be up to £10,000 in civil penalties)  were made clear, as were steps to be taken to avoid them.

If you were unable to attend and would like more information on future seminars on this or simliar topics please contact us.
