Mission Care is a Christian charity with a longstanding tradition of serving people affected by poor health and poverty. It provides care and support to frail older people and vulnerable adults. This is implemented through a number of care homes across South East London. A Fundraising Director is now required to take responsibility for the development and application of a robust Fundraising strategy that is fully integrated with the overall Mission Care vision and aims.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will need to be both innovative and creative as you work in conjunction with the executive team and trustees. Together you will develop and implement initiatives to identify, cultivate and engage potential prospects and ensure a strong base of ongoing support and fundraising. The role also includes the development and direction of fundraising strategies, solutions and activities as well as the management of a dynamic team which will require strong leadership abilities.
Previous experience as a senior fundraiser in the charitable or commercial sector is required with specific knowledge of grant making trusts and government funding being a distinct advantage.
The post is covered by a genuine occupational requirement for all applicants to be practising Christians and you will need to fully support Mission Care’s Christian Ethos and Statement of faith.
